Union Gospel Mission

Annual Thanksgiving Dinner

Each year our church families fill bags with the list of food items provided by UGM and a gift card for a turkey or other food items. The bags are brought to the Mission for distribution close to Thanksgiving. As our hearts are filled with gratitude for all that we have, we are blessed to give to others.

Keystone Community Services

Keystone food shelf helps feed the hungry and assists people in crisis in a large service area in Ramsey County.

Monthly Food Mobile Help

Once a month Keystone's Food Mobile stops at Roseville Covenant Church with canned goods, baked goods, refrigerated goods including dairy and meat selections, with a limit of one package of meat per family. Someone from Roseville Covenant is always there to greet the people who come for food and assist with the food mobile. Some walk from neighborhood apartments and some come in cars. On a typical day, 10 – 20 families are served.

In summer, Keystone brings their Farmers Market to our church parking lot once a month. Roseville Covenant volunteers are there to welcome and assist the people who come as needed.

If you are interested in helping on the days the Food Mobile stops at our church or with the Farmers Market in summer, please email Donna Peterson

Arrive Ministries

“I was a stranger and you welcomed me.”  Matthew 25:35

Arrive Ministries is dedicated to living out God’s command to welcome refugees and immigrants in Minnesota. They seek to love refugees and immigrants practically, socially and spiritually by providing direct program services, mobilizing the Church, and calling our communities to respond biblically.

How good it is to read God’s word and take action!  RCC is delighted to support Arrive Ministries through various projects and with financial resources.  Examples of showing our love include caring for refugee families - supporting the practical, everyday needs that might include building a ramp for accessible access to a home, helping pass a driving test, providing children with homework help or assisting with the challenges of paperwork that comes with living in a new country.

If you want to provide financial or volunteer support, please contact Doug Fullen at 651-260-8526 or Carol Fullen at 651-270-8546.

Peace House

It is a joy to support organizations that our church members are actively involved in. This is the case with Peace House Community (PHC), where member Marti Maltby serves as Director. PHC nourishes its members’ bodies and souls by providing a safe space for economically marginalized women and men. PHC enriches the lives of its members, volunteers and students by offering a place to belong for everyone who comes through its doors.

We have various ways to connect and serve at this amazing refuge, whether it is participating in discussion sessions, serving meals, or just being present in love to serve individual needs we welcome your participation.

If you want to join us in financial or time support, please contact Marti at 651-373-6592.

Envision Twin Cities

We are excited to be able to partner with Envision Twin Cities, by hosting youth basketball on the RCC campus weekly. The purpose of Envision Twin Cities is to equip and to assist district churches in reaching out to the refugee and immigrant communities with the Gospel of Jesus Christ with the goal of planting churches in the refugee and immigrant communities as people come to faith and are discipled. They work to help the local church in building relationships with refugees and other immigrants through meeting their basic needs.

As the budget allows, we also help with a small contribution to operating expenses that support other activities outside of this open gym time.

Envision welcomes RCC volunteers each Thursday as they visit our church to play basketball. For more information on how you can participate or donate, please contact Rick Wallace, rick@envisiontwincities.org

Bridging

RCC is proud to continue to coordinate resources with Bridging.  Since 1987, Bridging, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization has provided donated furniture and household goods to over 100,000 families and individuals transitioning out of homelessness and poverty. Bridging gives hope and a leap towards housing stability. Their location in Roseville is convenient for RCC church member participation and pick-up is also available.

If you want to help people to thrive in their homes by providing quality furniture and household goods for those pursuing housing stability or volunteering, please contact Dean Ericson at dean.ericson67@gmail.com

Every Meal

Quite simply, the mission and vision of Every Meal is to “Fight child hunger through community and school partnerships.  Every Child. Every Meal.® ”

Every Meal focuses on the food gaps when children aren’t able to receive free and reduced meal programs.  They provide weekend and other food gap programs serving children in our community.

If you want to learn more about assisting in these efforts, please contact Roberta Dahlke at 612-839-2599 or rmdahlke@gmail.com

Ebenezer Church

Roseville Covenant Church hosts the Hispanic Ebenezer Church on Sunday afternoons, Tuesday morning and evenings, Wednesday mornings, Friday evenings, and Saturday mornings.

Hats & Mittens

Early every fall the RCC community collects new and gently used hats, mittens and gloves to provide to the schools of the Roseville District 623 School District to help keep those in need warm and healthy during our winter season. Our church community looks forward to this event every year! Over 170 items were collected last year and the feedback we have from the schools warms our hearts as the mittens warm the student’s hands! Look for your opportunity to contribute in late September!
