Global Outreach

RCC extends beyond boarders in our call to meet people in need. Our globally-connected ministries serve international communities through denominational missionaries and short-term projects across the nation and around the world.

Evangelical Covenant Church of Kenya

The Evangelical Covenant Church of Kenya is over 35 years old with over 50 churches in Kenya, Rwanda, Burundi, and Uganda. RCC is currently supporting two phases of its development: training pastors for ministry and self-support, and helping the Noonkipor Church purchase land for a school for Congolese refugee children.

  • RCC is helping to pay the tuition at African International University for Stephen Ongaga. Stephen is assistant pastor of the Noonkipor Covenant Church and will be completing his degree in 2025. While he is a university student, he is also taking CHET (Centro Hispano de Estudios Teológicos) classes that are training him in the Bible and Christian ministry.

  • RCC’s donation of $300 a month will be used to help Pastor John Warari acquire land to build an elementary school in Noonkipor. His congregation ministers to over 300 Congolese refugees who have not been incorporated into the Kenya economy or whose children are outside of the Kenyan school system.

  • RCC paid for the tuition for Patrick Njuguna at African International University. After three years of training with the Navigators, he is serving as an ECCK missionary/church planter to the Kenyans in the remote West Pokot region.

    • Patrick writes, “This year, we plan to start construction of our Chepkopegh church building which kicks off in February. We have already dug the toilet and will be putting up the toilet block by the end of this month. Also, together with another pastor, we are reaching out to commercial sex workers in Kapenguria town, giving them hope with the Gospel message and also evangelizing to them through evening reach outs and referrals. I also plan to travel to Lodwar town in Turkana County with the hopes of making contacts for church planting in Turkana County. This year will also be my final year as the ECCK Youth leader and so I'll be working on raising more youth leaders through mentorship programs and leadership training. We covet prayers and moral support as we engage on the ministry front and believe God for a Gospel harvest this year. We know by God's help communities and individuals will respond to the message of Christ and surrender their lives to him. On the family front, my son joins Junior secondary school next week. We believe he is prepared for this next level and are holding him in prayer and support. He needs over $700 in school fees and other needs this year. We still haven't raised enough and we are still asking for support in meeting his education needs.”

We praise God for this church that continues to touch many lives throughout Kenya.

Covenant Missionaries

We support missionaries of the Evangelical Covenant Church around the world through Covenant World Mission, which has more than 125 missions projects in 25 countries.

Julio and Katie Isaza

Julio & Katie work in Medellin, Colombia with churches and young leaders. Katie has years of experience with children’s ministry, curriculum development, and discipleship. Julio has received theology degrees from Colombia, Norway, and U.S. seminaries. Their work with Covenant churches is vital for reaching the next generation through leadership training, developing disciples, and national peace initiatives.

Eugenio Restrepo & Pia Peña-Restrepo

The Restrepos are the regional coordinators for Serve Globally Latin America. They write, “Our vision and call are that the missionaries we serve will feel loved, affirmed, healthy, and safe. We are also in constant awareness of all the needs, activities, and our partner churches and leaders in Latin America and the Caribbean. Therefore, we are involved in meetings, teaching, fundraising, planning, counseling, and spiritual direction.”

Roseville Covenant Church also supports a missionary family in South East Asia who are on reassignment and are praying for guidance as they make contacts in a new place and discern the work God has for them in the new location. For security reasons, we are not posting details.

World Vision Global 6K for Water

It is hard for us to imagine what a world without access to clean water is like; something we take for granted many, many times each day. Yet, in places like the Democratic Republic of Congo, some people walk six kilometers every day to retrieve clean water for their homes.

In the month of May, RCC joins thousands of people across the globe for the mission of bringing life-changing clean water to communities around the world. When we walk, run, or push a stroller as we participate in the World Vision Global 6K for Water we are bringing hope and helping to fulfill an essential human need.

We meet on the lawn of Roseville Covenant Church to begin the race and then stick around after the 6K to celebrate the impact of World Vision and Covenant Kids Congo.

Watch for announcements for this in the spring of the year and join the RCC church community in its support of this important mission.
