Global Outreach

RC extends beyond boarders in our call to meet people in need. Our globally-connected ministries serve international communities through denominational missionaries and short-term projects across the nation and around the world.

Evangelical Church of Kenya

RCC is currently supporting the Evangelical Covenant Church of Kenya (ECCK) in the following ways.

  • RCC is  paying the tuition for James Chuma Masha at African International University.  He is the son of an ECCK pastor in Mombasa.  He writes, “There is a programme that I want to start with our youths in my home church since they are easy to reach, although my aim is to all the youths in our Denomination. It is a youth programme but it will benefit both the church and the community. I just hope that God answers my prayer.”

  • RCC is helping Pastor John Warari to complete his church building and to acquire land to build a school in Noonkipor. Our latest donation of $2000 will be used toward the purchase of the land for a school. His congregation ministers to 300 Congolese refugees who have not been incorporated into the Kenya economy or children into the Kenyan school system.  See the above picture of the church under construction.

  • RCC paid for the tuition for Patrick Njuguna at African International University.  After three years of training with the Navigators, he is serving as an ECCK missionary/church planter to the Kenyans in the remote West Pokot region.  Patrick writes, “Part of the realities we have faced is that there's drought that has really pushed the locals to desperation, the place being a semi-arid area (West Pokot is classified as a marginalized county in Kenya). Any time we visit, the greatest need we see is food and water. We trust God will come through for these people. There are also so many kids that attend church on Sunday, but they are forced to sit on the dusty floor since there are no chairs to sit on; still they attend services with the adults.  Also, there are no special Sunday school classes. If God touches people to give, we want to help these kids with a clas, and some chairs. This will have a direct impact on the ministry and the growth of the church.  See above picture of the church and children.

We praise God for this indigenous church that continues to touch many lives through its churches throughout Kenya.

The Clauson Family

Mexico

Erika and Nils Clauson lived and served for 17 years in Mexico with their three children: Matías (16), Lucas (15), and Maya (6). They continue as Global Personnel, or Covenant missionaries, now from Minnesota, serving churches and para-church ministries in the US, Mexico, and beyond. See more about their ministry on their blog in the link below.

Roseville Covenant Church also supports a missionary family in South East Asia who are on reassignment and are praying for guidance as they make contacts in a new place and discern the work God has for them in the new location. For security reasons, we are not posting details.

World Vision Global 6K for water

It is hard for us to imagine what a world without access to clean water is like; something we take for granted many, many times each day. Yet, in places like the Democratic Republic of Congo, some people walk six kilometers every day to retrieve clean water for their homes.

In the month of May, RCC joins thousands of people across the globe for the mission of bringing life-changing clean water to communities around the world. When we walk, run, or push a stroller as we participate in the World Vision Global 6K for Water we are bringing hope and helping to fulfill an essential human need.

We meet on the lawn of Roseville Covenant Church to begin the race and then stick around after the 6K to celebrate the impact of World Vision and Covenant Kids Congo.

Watch for announcements for this in the spring of the year and join the RCC church community in its support of this important mission.
